Proverbs

Lately I have been reading through the book of Proverbs. I have never done this before but I hear from others that it was a good experience for them to read a proverb everyday for a month. Proverbs 1 on the first, Proverbs 2 on the second of the month and so on. Today is the 6th and so I got up this morning and read proverbs 6. Very simple and very basic but it works. The other day reading while reading chapter 3 (which is one of my favorite chapter of the Bible) I felt as it I was literally right there at Solomon feet listening to his great wisdom. i could imagine the words flowing right into my heart. I love it when the Bible become so real, so inspiring, so uplifting and I love when it clicks in my mind and soul. Listen to this: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will blessed. By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundation by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the deeps were divided and the clouds let drop the dew. A tradition I want to start in my home when I have kids is to read a Proverb out loud to the whole family sometime durning each day whether it be before dinner or before bed or in the morning.
